Level 1 Tribal Style Belly Dance - taught by Teresa and Bonnie This class will cover the basics of Tribal; Posture, Music, fast and slow moves done in the improvisational setting, upper and lower body isolations, and formations. No prior experience needed. Please wear comfortable clothing such as yoga pants, shorts, loose fitting skirt, yoga top, jog bra, tank top, etc..No shoes are needed, please wear long hair off the shoulders. Bottle of water is suggested. Saundra has been teaching dance classes for over 10 years and she creates a supportive and fun environment to learn Bellydance. At the age of 7, he was chosen to join the Ghana Dance Association as a professional dancer and teacher. Come experience the high energy that his dance classes produce. Osendah will have live drumming by Master Drummer Antiye Mensah. Drummers are welcome to attend. Beginning & Intermediate Belly Dance - taught by Janet For all ages 8 years and older. Time: Saturdays 10-11:30am Cost: $32/month or $10 drop-in Contact: 543-2423 Djembe Level 1 & Level 2 - taught by Tim Costa Class will focus on developing good technique. Traditional rhythms from West Africa and the Caribbean will be taught using a variety of drums and percussion instruments; djembe, djun djun, conga, the bell and shekere.
